Michael Weatherly is exiting NCIS after playing Special Agent Tony DiNozzo for 13 seasons, CBS announced on Tuesday, January 5. The actor will depart at the end of the long-running drama’s current season. Weatherly originated the role on JAG before moving to its spinoff, NCIS, when it launched in April 2003.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were photographed apartment hunting together in New York City on Monday, January 4. The lovebirds specifically checked out real estate in the Big Apple’s SoHo neighborhood. Afterward, they grabbed grub at Soho House.
Justin Timberlake is back on the music scene and set to release some new music. According to The Hollywood Reporter, JT will executive produce music for the upcoming animated DreamWorks film, Trolls. Timberlake told THR, “I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks’ Trolls. This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all.”

Last year Janet Jackson announced that she would be postponing the upcoming leg of her Unbreakable World Tour to undergo emergency surgery. Now additional details about the surgery have surfaced that revealed the singer has a tumor on her vocal chords. A source told Radaronline.com, “Doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal cords that could be serious . . . It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately.”
Lea Michele dropped by the Fempire Podcast this week where she talked about how she honor the memory of Cory Monteith despite finding love again with her current beau, Matthew Paetz. She explained, “He is very respectful towards the person that I was with, and that, again, is something I love so much about him. I really know that Cory would love him too.” Lea went on to speak about how she and Matt support each other saying, “At the end of the day, this industry is really tough, and the only way to get through is to create a solid unit, and that’s really what we’ve been since day one. Ricky Gervais is ready for another go at hosting the Golden Globes but don’t expect him to get too political. The comedian is preparing for his fourth time as host of the show on Sunday and teased what viewers can expect during a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter. He said, “Trump might get a mention. He’s put his head in a basket. I think he’s volunteered for that, you know? You can joke about anyone’s willful behavior. I don’t really joke about things that people can’t help. It’s all going to be topical. It’s all going to be justified. But I’m not going to go out there and do half an hour on Syria. I’m not a political comedian.”
The producers of Netflix’s Fuller House couldn’t recruit the Olsen twins to reprise their role as Michelle Tanner so they tried the next best thing — their sister. Eddie Redmayne is finally getting his chance to making some magic in the Harry Potter universe after trying for years to score a role in the original film series. He discussed his frustration with UK’s ITV saying, “For years I was always like, in the Harry Potter films, there was a whole ginger family, and I never got an audition. And I was like, come on, it’s outrageous! So I was desperate. Every actor in England was in the Harry Potter films, but I never got the call.
