One Direction’s frontman Liam Payne told photographers on Friday that the band is not in fact splitting, TMZ reports. When directly asked, Liam responded: “no, no, no, no, no.” It also sounds like he and former bandmate Zayn Malik are on speaking terms again. Wonders never cease. But just to throw a little extra drama into the mix, when he’s not dispelling rumors of One Direction’s demise, he’s teasing new solo material. On Saturday, he uploaded a short clip to Instagram, captioning it: “Little Song I wrote for fun yesterday.”

A source told People: “He wants Rocco to have the confidence he lacked growing up and thinks Madonna’s stern parental style is counterproductive.” After being on the road with Madonna, 57, for three months during her Rebel Heart tour, Rocco went to live with his father in the U.K. in December, and then reportedly refused to return home for the holidays, setting off a battle that has been in and out of the courts.

The clip ran during the “Riggle’s Picks” segment and featured White on the phone presumably talking to several NFL personalities.
