After Beyonce shook up the world with news of her “Formation World Tour,” fans began wondering when Bey’s next album is going to drop. According to Hits Daily Double, “Beyoncé is close to making a new worldwide, multi-album deal with Sony Music, and the final release under the current deal is now set for April. But there are rumors of another Beyoncé album in 2016, this one a joint project with husband Jay Z.”
TMZ has reported that Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson are being accused of stealing, “Uptown Funk.” The duo was accused by a 1970s trio called The Sequence, who claim that Mars and Ronson stole the all-girl group’s track called, “Funk You Up.” Gossip Cop reached out to The Sequence’s rep for an explanation about why the group has yet to file a lawsuit since they are accusing Mars and Ronson of stealing the record, but the rep has not yet responded.
Lady Gaga has revealed that although her record, “‘Til It Happens,” was nominated for an Oscar, she is more concerned about the record providing support for rape survivors. In an interview with Deadline, Gaga said, “Everyone says, ‘Oh, an Oscar nomination.’ It’s not about that for me at all. Of course, it’s cool. The Oscars nominated this issue by nominating this song. Now the issue has the media talking about it, hopefully in a way I believe it deserves to be talked about.”
Nick Jonas has revealed some of the collabs on his upcoming album. According to BreatheHeavy.com, the singer said, “[The] new record [is] coming. I’m nearly done with that. I always pick at the end… I wanna write all the music, make sure I know what the concept is and go from there.” Jonas then dished that he has a record with Ty Dolla $ign, as well as a female artist that he chose not to name. The singer later revealed that he would like to work with Kanye and Jay Z.
Charli XCX now has her own record label, Vroom Vroom Recordings, which is an imprint of Atlantic Records UK. Charli said in a press release, “Vroom Vroom Recordings is my new, experimental pop label and it will combine my love for bubblegum pop with mystery and darkness. The artists coming up through it will be sharp, potent, deadly, and ultimately, will leave their mark on pop music. RIVRS and CuckooLander are two artists who have so much intelligence, pop sensibility and potential – they know what they want and both have great vision. That inspires me and it’s why I want to work with them. I’ve always been fascinated by shy and introvert people – it’s something that I am mostly not – and I feel both acts are in ways. It captivates me and sucks me in, and I think their music will do the same for others.”

The 20th season of The View is officially a go. ABC has renewed the daytime talk show along with news thatCandi Carter has officially been chosen as co-Executive Producer along with Brian Teta. She is the first black woman to hold that position. Candi joined that show last August.
