Jennifer Lopez has said that she has no beef with Mariah Carey. During an appearance onWatch What Happens Live, when the topic of J.Lo texting during MiMi’s performance at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards was brought up, the singer said, “There isn’t [a feud]. I’ll tell you why. Let me tell you something. OK, first of all, that was not fair with the texting thing because I watched a lot of it. It was a long performance, OK? I watched most of it. I may have looked down for one second, and people were like, ‘Look at her! Look at her!’ So not fair. So not fair. I was watching her the whole time.”
Sam Smith is done with social media for now. The singer announced his hiatus and said, “I’m logging off for a while. Some Martinis shaken not stirred are definitely in order.” Smith was recently under fire after saying that he was the first openly gay man to win an Oscar during his award speech on Sunday.
Susan Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri Martino, narrowly avoided dealing with another nannygate. The Saved actress published a blog entry over the weekend on her website where she revealed that she fired her nanny for coming on to her husband. Her employee of over a year texted her husband Kyle prior to arriving to work last week, “OMG. Girl, did I mention to you how hot and sex my Boss is. I would love to f*** his brains out ha haah. Too bad he seems not to like thick Latin women with lots to hold on to LOL.” The text was initially perceived as a mistake but she never sent a follow up or attempted to explain herself when she got to work. Eva went on to explain that Kyle was later walking in their driveway only to look up and see the nanny looking at him from their bedroom window.
Nicole Scherzinger has signed on for ABC’s upcoming Dirty Dancing reboot. She will be playing Penny — the dancer who gets pregnant and then has an abortion. The role was played by Cynthia Rhodes in the 1987 film.
We may not know who Ben Higgins has chosen as his final rose recipient until March 14th but The Bachelor has confirmed that he is in love and engaged. He explains in the new issue of People magazine, “I’ve held a lot back for a long time now. I’m ready to say it, I’m ready to announce what’s going on, what happened. I can’t help but say I’m very much in love!”
Tina Fey believes that aging is the biggest challenge she faces as an actress. She explains in the new issue of Town & Country magazine, “Trying to play the scene at hand while also trying to hold your face up. Fast-forward to being 68, and it’s a glorious act of bravery…There were people on the Globes in their twenties who were so Botoxed. In their twenties! We’ve been so conditioned now to never see a real human face, one that moves, with its original teeth. Sometimes we forget that there is a choice. I choose not to do this. It’s like wearing multiple pairs of Spanx: Good for you, not for me. Not mandatory.”
