2) St. Patrick’s Fest Events – March 11 & 12
Who says you have to wait until March 17th to feel Irish? Get into the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day with events at the Tir Nan Og hosted by the Kingston Irish Folk Club. There’s dancing, celtic music workshops and jam seassions.
3) Maple Madness – March 12 (until April 3)
If you can’t get out to Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area this weekend, you can also take the kids for a day trip during March Break. There are tractor-drawn wagon rides to see the sugar bush and lots of freshly-flipped pancakes so you can mop up litres of delicious maple syrup. There are also puppet shows, tree-tapping demonstrations, First Nations Display and more!
4) Easter Egg Hunt in Napanee – March 13
For the 7th year in a row, the Easter Bunny is coming early to the Strathcona Paper Centre. Besides a full outdoor Easter egg hunt, there will also be a pancake breakfast, arts and crafts, skating in the arena, and a bunny hopping show. You can purchase your passes online and also select a time for the egg hunt.
5) Rail-O-Rama – March 12-13
If you know anyone who’s into trains and railroads, send them to the Ambassador Hotel this weekend. Rail-O-Rama features model trails and railroad displays and vendors with books, movies and memorabilia. For young kids, there will be a “Thomas” activity table, and for the older kids, there will be a “hands-on” O-scale Lionel layout.
