Avocado’s are a staple of my daily life. When they are perfectly ripe they are are a delicious addition to anything. An unripe avocado on the other hand is completely useless unless you want to play street hockey with it.
According to Purewow you wrap the avocado in tin foil and pop it in the oven for 10 minutes.
If the avocado is particularly rock solid you might need to leave it in a little longer.
The reason they say it works is Avocados produce ethylene gas, normally it releases slowly but when you wrap it in tin foil and seal the ethylene gas in you speed up the process!
