Sony Music Entertainment has reportedly signed a deal with pop powerhouse Adele that gives her $130 million reasons to keep saying “Hello” when they call. According to a report in The Sun, the label offered Adele the deal upon the release of her mega-hit 25. A rep told the paper: “Adele’s deal with her original label XL expired and we’d [like] an existing relationship with her in America. The deal is being worked on by our Columbia label in the US, but is worth $130 million and gives Sony the rights to release her future music exclusively around the world.”
Beyoncé and Jay Z have secretly recorded an album together, and will drop it on Jay Z’s streaming service “very soon,” according to a report in Page Six. A source told the paper that the album will be a response of sorts to all of the cheating rumours that surfaced after the release of Beyoncé’s Lemonade on April 23rd: “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after Lemonade. It’s more their style to respond through music.”

Mariah Carey has inked a deal to develop, produce, direct and co-star in three original movies for the Hallmark Channel. She’ll top it off by composing and performing an original song for each of the movies. The first movie is slated for the channel’s 2017 Valentine’s Day countdown programming. Mariah and Hallmark have teamed up successfully before, on Christmas specials.
