Kesha is joining the growing ranks of sizzling female pop acts in Las Vegas. She is scheduled to perform a three-night residency at Intrigue nightclub inside of the Wynn Las Vegas. Wynn shared the news on Instagram, saying: “#Kesha (@iiswhoiis) will be performing her hits at #IntrigueVegas on June 23, June 25 and July 23!”
Zayn Malik canceled his performance at the last minute on Saturday, June 11th, blaming severe anxiety. It isn’t the first time the singer has suffered from performance anxiety in recent months.
James Corden hosted the 70th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday night which honoured the best theatre offerings of the past year. The evening was dedicated to those affected by the mass shooting at the Orlando gay club in the early hours of Sunday morning and James opened the show addressing the situation. Hamilton was the night’s big winner. The show took home 11 awards including Best Musical, Best Featured Actor and Actress in a Musical, Best Actor in a Musical and Best Score. The cast also took the stage to perform a medley of songs from the show. It was reported prior to the ceremony that they switched up the arrangement to no longer feature muskets in light of the Orlando events.
Amber Heard and her legal team are dismissing claims made by Johnny Depp’s camp that she is just trying to secure more money in their divorce. According to TMZ, Amber’s actions are more about trying to get away from Johnny than wanting his cash. There have rumours that Amber has refused the settlement offer because it wasn’t high enough but insiders say that the issue was actually with the stipulation of a mutual restraining order. Amber has apparently rejected the offer because she feels that she was never violent and should not be subjected to a restraining order.
Conjuring 2 is the latest horror movie to hit the box office. The sequel topped the weekend with a $40.4 million domestic gross.
Conjuring 2 had the third highest opening weekend for a horror movie behind the original Conjuring and 2009’s Friday the 13th. Warner Bros exec Jeff Goldstein said of the film’s success, “It starts with a compelling story. Director James Wan is awesome in telling stories and he has a fan base that follows him. The fact Conjuring 2 is based on true events has piqued the audience’s interest. Fans are looking up online material related to the Enfield case and tossing the links into their comments. This genre film is much more broad than others. It reminds me of The Exorcist in how that was more compelling for a wider audience.”

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are not on the verge of divorce, even though there are reports claiming otherwise. Ellen tells Parade magazine, “I don’t pay attention to rumors. But we’ve been followed recently by the paparazzi, and we found out it’s because there’s a story out there that we’re getting divorced. We don’t know why. We’re together all the time. We genuinely love each other. Her happiness is my happiness, and vice versa. True love is caring more about the other person’s happiness than your own.”
Nick Cannon is denying the rumour that he is holding up the divorce from Mariah Carey. He told Extra, “She’s such a beautiful spirit. We put the kids first and that’s all we care about. We get along great despite of all the rumors out there. There’s nothing to tell.” Nick added, “It’s a process, nobody’s holding nothing up. Why would I do that?” They split up in 2014.
Rumour has it that Lamar Odom’s return to his old ways has pushed Khloe Kardashian to consider seeking a restraining order. A source told Radar Online, “He’s totally lost it, calling her every name under the sun and yelling at her for breaking promises she made to him on his death bed. It’s pretty vicious…Odom has been bombarding her with bitter texts and drunken rambling messages that are starting to scare her.” The insider went on to say, “She’s now considering a restraining order against him because he’s been threatening all kinds of crazy things, from spilling all her secrets to hoping she drops dead.” Khloe recently re-filed for divorce after calling it off when he overdosed last year.
Gawker media has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in light of the $140 million they must pay Hulk Hogan over his sex tape. Founder Nick Denton has announced plans to auction off the site. Several companies have already placed bids.
Sylvester Stallone is being sued by a man who claims that his new NBC series about fitness trainers is a stolen idea. Robert Fletcher is claiming that he pitched a show called America’s Next Great Trainer to Stallone’s publicist in 2014 and even sent out marketing materials for it to Biggest Loser producer David Broome. He is seeking $7 million.
America Ferrera reunited with the cast of Ugly Betty for the ATX Festival over the weekend where she called for Hulu to greenlight a two-hour movie special. The rest of the cast agreed that they would be up for the project if everyone would be involved.
