Maroon 5 singer and The Voice coach Adam Levine has offered to pay for the late Christina Grimmie’s funeral expenses, according to her brother Marcus.
Adam was Grimmie’s coach when she competed in the sixth season of The Voice. He reached out to her family personally after learning about her death. Her death is another tragedy that took place over the weekend. She was shot and killed on Friday, while signing autographs after a concert in Orlando. Orlando has seen so much violence and hate over the weekend, my heart honestly breaks for them.
Marcus said in his Facebook post, “I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away.” He also acknowledged and thanked Selena Gomez’s stepfather and Grimmie’s longtime manager Brian Teefey for setting up a GoFundMe account for the family that has raised more than $100,000.
