This poor woman!
Jessica Huchko from Connecticut was supposed to welcome a baby boy to her family of 3 girls, but devastatingly she had a miscarriage.
Throughout the trauma, she realized she had to return all the baby items she had purchased from Toys R Us.
She returned to the store with baby clothes, a stroller, and forgot a receipt.
She did have the debit card she used as well as her store loyalty card.
The cashier asked why she was returning it and the mom has to say that her son passed away. Then the manager got involved, who said the items couldn’t be found in the system.
A manager got involved and the humiliation grew. The items couldn’t be found in the system.
The manager got the car seat back for half price, but the stroller wasn’t in the system.
The double stroller wasn’t turning up in the system, leading the manager to allegedly offer pennies for her $179 purchase.
She reached out to the local news and Babies R Us, and the manager got in contact with her and offered to give her the remainder of her returns.
Babies R Us released this statement:
“We are deeply sorry for her experience in our store, and more importantly for her loss. The store leadership has provided coaching to the team members to help ensure similar situations are handled with more care in the future,” Babies “R” Us said in a statement on Monday.
Jessica says that she is working towards a policy that helps mothers returning products because of the loss of their child.WFSB 3 Connecticut
