Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will be headlining the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show. Gaga tweeted last night, “It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA! @nfl @FOXTV @pepsi #PERFECTILLUSION #GAGASUPERBOWL.” According to Complex.com, Adam Harter, Pepsi’s VP of Consumer Engagement spoke of the announcement and said, “The Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show is one of the most watched moments of the year, and we are thrilled to see what surprises music icon Lady Gaga will bring to fans.”
Nick Jonas admits that dating hasn’t been a walk in the park for him. During an interview with Confidential magazine, Nick explained, “It’s been challenging to find any time on that front. But it’s also a choice I made to just have this season of my life be solo, so that I can make the most of all I’m trying to accomplish. I’ve got plenty of time, at 24. I mean I hope I have plenty of time!”
Jay Z has signed a new TV and film deal with The Weinstein Company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jay’s two-year deal will allow him to produce scripted and unscripted TV shows and films.
One Direction’s Niall Horan has released his first single as a solo artist called, “This Town.” Niall also tweeted a link to a video for the record, saying, “Been workin in the studio, wanted to share this song I just wrote with u guys. Thank you for always being there.”
There were rumours earlier this year that Nicole Scherzinger was dating Calvin Harris. During a recent interview with Glamour U.K., Nicole has slammed these rumours. She said, “It was all, ‘She’s the biggest cheater.’ I’m like, excuse me? I was walking on cobblestones, almost fell, grabbed him, two frame and that was it. It’s ridiculous.”
Brangelina’s relationship was allegedly destroyed by frequent disagreements about how to parent their six children. Sources tell Us Weekly that they were fighting over the kids years before they even got married. In other Brangelina news, NBC has axed plans to air an hour-long special about their break up. It is believed that they backed out because they don’t want to piss off either member of the former power couple for future interviews
Verizon has placed a block on Kylie Jenner’s phone number for a full year. According to TMZ, the standard block is for 50 days but given Kyle’s celebrity status, the phone number will not be reassigned until next September thanks to Rob Kardashian who posted it to Twitter earlier this week. He did it because he was upset that his family planned a baby shower for him without inviting Blac Chyna.
Neil Patrick Harris may not want to be the full-time co-host of Live now but he was once considering the job. He revealed during a recent interview in New York City, “Well, before the Michael Strahanchapter…it happened, we talked about the possibility….They wanted to gauge my interest.” Neil went on to say, “Who do I think would be best? Anderson Cooper would be the perfect host for that show. His CNN job requires him to sit and read…he’s required to tell the news…but he has so many fun opinions. It would be so fun to see him not doing hard-hitting news every day.” It is still unclear when they will announce Michael’s replacement.
