The Monday after the super bowl can be a ruff one, weather you are a football fan or not, it is hard not to get wrapped up in the excitement of the big game, Kraft Heinz wants to change all this!
For most power house company’s the super bowl is all about spending millions on TV ads that dazzle and amaze, Kraft Heinz are going a different way. Heinz is giving its employees the day off on the Monday after the Super Bowl. And it wants you to have the day off too. It’s an idea designed to be as popular as ketchup on French fries.
Nicole Kulwicki, head of Heinz brands said “We are trying to rally people around the idea that the day after the big game should really be a day to celebrate, And in fact it should be a national holiday, which we have lovingly named ‘Smunday ”
Heinz have started a petition and are asking supporters to sign at www.smunday.org Heinz says if it gets over 100,000 that it will send the petition to Congress. No word on if Heinz Canada employees will get the day off or weather Canada would recognize such a holiday.
We can all dream though!
