Ashley C. Ford uses Twitter to help kids eat!
Many families have hard times, I was raised by a single mom on wale fair, and so when I read this story a tear came to my eye. The Kindness of strangers is such a powerful thing.
After hearing that children who have unpaid school lunch accounts are sometimes refused a hot lunch and instead given a meal of a cheese sandwich and a carton of milk, New York City writer Ashley C. Ford Took to Twitter to help aid these kids whom also deserve a hot lunch regardless of their family’s low income. Ashley Ford took to her 66,000 Twitter followers, writing, “A cool thing you can do today is try to find out which of your local schools have kids with overdue lunch accounts and pay them off.” It has been almost two months since and people around the USA have donated thousands of dollars to pay off school lunch debts.
Today’s High Five goes to Ashley C. Ford for initiating this movement…
