Her show at the pop-up venue follows Thursday’s triple bill featuring Sam Hunt, The Chainsmokers and Snoop Dogg and Friday’s Bruno Mars performance.
Kylie Minogue and fiancé Joshua Sasse have called it quits. The 48-year-old Australian singer confirmed in an Instagram post Friday that she and the 29-year-old English actor called off their wedding after a nearly year-long engagement. Sources told The Sun that Minogue is “absolutely devastated” and “totally heartbroken” by the split.
David Beckham’s rep has denied a story in The Sun which alleges the former soccer player admitted to using his charity work to win himself a knighthood. Allegedly hacked emails leaked by Football Leaks, the sport’s equivalent of WikiLeaks, claim that Beckham was abusive over the UK’s Honors Committee and that he reacted angrily when he was asked to donate money at dinner.
An investigation into a video that appeared to show a German shepherd being forced into water against its will during the making of A Dog’s Life “mischaracterized the events on set,” a report found. American Humane, the organization responsible for supervising animals on-set during the making of A Dog’s Purpose shared the findings. The report concludes that the video, which certainly looked damning, had been edited. The doctored version was given to gossip news site TMZ, and when the organization published it, PETA and other animal rights organizations called for a boycott of the film. Despite the bad PR, A Dog’s Purpose opened to a respectable $18.4 million last weekend.
John Lithgow, fresh off his SAG victory on Netflix series The Crown, is signing on for Pitch Perfect 3. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are returning to star in the third iteration of the musical comedy. Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Camp, Ruby Rose and Brittany Snow are also set for the Universal Pictures and Gold Circle Entertainment production, with Trish Sie directing. The movie will drop on December 22nd.
Following her halftime show performance at Super Bowl LI, Lady Gaga announced her 2017 Joanne World Tour. Gaga scored her fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 last year with Joanne, and the tour behind her new album will be her first as a solo headlining artist since 2014. Lady Gaga will be in Toronto on September 6th, tickets go on sale on February 13th.
