Do you think breaking up in person is the right move, maybe even noble? It’s not. This is our world now. Think about it, we view the most beautiful things through our phones via Instagram, our babies growing into woman and men, the trees as we turn to fall and the most amazing sunsets… Why would you want to witness angry, verge of crying sniffling face in person. You wouldn’t Instagram that…I hope!
Let’s face it most people don’t like confrontation weather you are the Dumper or Dumpee, and then there is the awkward moment “so… are we done here yet” as the conversation goes in circles. A soft touch of a quick text is easier and nicer for both involved there’s a reason college rejection letters come in the mail and that jobs never call you back when you didn’t get the position: rejection is hard and no one wants to deliver it. (Or, let’s be honest, receive it.) You both really liked each there maybe even loved each other at one point do you want your last memory together being of one person struggling to put a brave stern face on and the other sobbing like Kim Kardashian broke a nail?
Whom ever thought of the Face to Face brake up is a monster!
Send a nice “I just need to work on myself.” (I don’t love you.)
And everyone will be fine, this has been The Truth
