Welcome to the “100 Cups of Coffee” challenge! The concept is fairly simple, yet EXPENSIVE!
What you do: Walk in to a Tim Hortons and ask to buy 100 empty cups and don’t be frightened by the perplexed look on the Tim Hortons’ employee face.
The Point: To roll up the rims to discover the ratio of winning cups to non-winning ones. Roll up the Rim prizes up for grabs range from free coffees, to doughnuts and potato wedges to more elusive prizes such as pre-paid credit cards, TVs and cars.
Now as simple as this sounds, it is expensive as 100 empty cups can run you $150-$200 depending on cup sizes and you want to mix it up a little!
The cost seems to be a small price to pay aspiring YouTubers. With half a dozen videos uploaded, people have had hundreds of thousands of views and hundreds of comments.
Who came Up with This: Pete Czerwinski, a popular YouTube star who goes by the handle “Furious Pete,” has been credited with coming up with the 100-cup idea by a couple
As for Pete’s first video, out of 100 cups, he had 17 winners!
