Carly Rae Jepsen kicked the summer off with the release of her song “Cut To The Feeling” on Friday. The track was written during sessions for Jepsen’s last album, Emotion, but will now be featured on the motion picture soundtrack for the upcoming animated film Leap!, coming to theaters August 30th.
Mariah Carey and ex-boyfriend Bryan Tanaka appear to be back on. The singer and dancer were spotted on a date Thursday in LA after reportedly breaking up in April after six months of dating. Carey and Tanaka were seen holding hands as they walked into Catch LA restaurant in West Hollywood. The singer had hinted at a reconciliation recently by posting a throwback photo with Tanaka.
Gregg Allman, the co-founding keyboardist of the Allman Brothers Band and the iconic figurehead of Southern rock, died in his sleep on Saturday at his home in Savannah, Georgia. Allman has been battling health issues for a while now, especially after receiving a liver transplant in 2010.
Hollywood power couple Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor have announced their split after 17 years of marriage. The couple has been together for 18 years, and they have two children together. News of the split comes as somewhat of a surprise, given that the “Zoolander 2” star told “ET” that the secret to the couple’s long-lasting marriage was “having a sense of humor.” “I think you got to laugh. Because you know after a while you know life is life you know?” Stiller said in February 2016. “We all have to deal with what life throws at us, so you got to have a sense of humor about it. If you can share that, at the end, it makes a huge difference.”
Ryan Seacrest apparently isn’t too happy with how much money he is being offered to host American Idol on ABC, this is according to PageSix. Apparently, Katy is getting paid $25 million to be a judge on the show. Sources say ABC initially offered Seacrest over $10 million. A network insider said, “Perry is not getting $25 million.”
