Charlie Puth might be headed to American Idol. The singer is one of the front-runners to be a judge on the show’s upcoming reboot. Charlie is reportedly in advanced talks with the series, along with Lionel Richie. The duo would be joining fellow judge Katy Perry, as well as Ryan Seacrest, who recently signed on to host. ABC is also debating whether to have four judges on the panel. Other candidates for the spot includes Luke Bryan and Idol veteran Keith Urban.
The green umbrella Britney Spears unleashed on a paparazzo after shaving her head in 2007 is hitting the auction block. The umbrella will be auctioned off on August 10th, courtesy of Daniel Ramos, the paparazzi who Spears hit with the umbrella. TMZ ran into him at LAX on Tuesday afternoon and asked him how much he plans to ask for it. He believes that he can get about $50,000.
Angelina Jolie is opening up about her very public divorce from Brad Pitt and some of the changes in her life since their split in September. “It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re just kind of coming up for air,” Jolie, 42, told Vanity Fair. “We’re all trying to do our best to heal our family.” The actress admits that their 12-year partnership went downhill following the filming of her third directorial effort, First They Killed My Father, wrapped in Cambodia last summer. She also discussed her health. After having a preventative double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery and then having her ovaries removed, her body went into menopause. Jolie says she then developed Bell’s Palsy and hypertension which caused “one side of her face to droop.” Thankfully, she was able to tap acupuncture to heal that issue.
Amy Schumer backed out of playing Barbie due to scheduling conflicts. Now that rumours are swirling that Anne Hathaway will replace her, Schumer addressed the rumour by posting a picture of herself on Instagram sans makeup and looking quite somber, captioning it: “Hathaway smathaway. jkjk she’s perfect!! Can’t wait to see it!”
Justin Bieber has injured a paparazzo photographer. Bieber clipped the paparazzo with his car after leaving a church in Beverly Hills. In footage obtained by TMZ, Bieber is pictured getting into a large SUV and slowly driving away. As he turns out of a driveway, a photographer is caught by the wide tires of the vehicle and brought to the ground. Bieber is then filmed attending to the injured man, who was taken away in an ambulance with his leg strapped up. The singer also spoke to police and was not charged.
