Tom Cruise is training for Top Gun 2. No, he isn’t in the gym, or well he could be. This is a different type of training, according to Screen Rant, he is learning how to fly a helicopter for Top Gun 2. He is getting back into action 31 years after the release of the original movie. Tom confirmed the Top Gun sequel in May, when he was promoting his new film The Mummy. Filming is believed to be taking place later this year and it is slated for release in 2019.
Mariah Carey tells Entertainment Tonight that she would not advise her tourmate Lionel Richie to judge American Idol. “I would say, don’t do it. No, I’m only kidding. If he wants to do it, that’ll be great. I think he would be really good at it. Yeah, they just were trying to foil me when I went on there. So, you know, that’s the only reason why I say that [to Richie].”
Rumour has it Beyonce is looking to buy a stake in her hometown NBA team, the Houston Rockets. According to Bloomberg, Rockets owner, Les Alexander, purchased the team for $85 million in 1993 and is looking to sell the franchise, which could yield more than the record $2 billion that Steve Ballmer paid for the Los Angeles Clippers three years ago. Reps for Beyonce and the Rockets have both declined to comment.
Sia has signed a new deal with Atlantic Records and has announced an upcoming Christmas album. The Christmas album will be the singer’s first release under Atlantic after moving on from RCA Records. The album will feature original holiday songs written by Sia and her longtime collaborator Greg Kurstin. It will be released later this year.
