Last night the 2017 Teen Choice Awards took place. The ladies of Fifth Harmony cleaned up, winning awards for Choice Music Group, Choice Summer Group, and Choice Song: Group for the their hot new song “Down.”
Maroon 5 was given the Decade Award. The group joked about how old they are and teasing the crowd with a hint that their next album will be their “final” record. After a brief pause, Levine laughed and said, “Just kidding. We are never going to go away!”
Bruno Mars was received the Visionary Award for his success in pop music.
Miley Cyrus, who was set to receive the Ultimate Choice Award, was absent last night. She took to her Instagram to reveal that her hectic schedule caused her to miss the show. Miley also announced that her new single “Younger Now” is being released this Friday. Cyrus was also nominated for four surfboards, including Choice Summer Song for “Malibu,” Choice Summer Female Artist, Choice Female Artist, and Choice Song by a Female Artist for “Malibu.”
