Star Wars fans are freaking out over Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Chewbacca socks. He rocked the socks at the inaugural Bloomberg Global Business Forum in New York on Wednesday. On May 4, in honour of what has been dubbed as National Star Wars Day, Trudeau wore socks featuring R2-D2 and C-3PO during a meeting with the prime minister of Ireland.
Organizers behind last week’s Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief telethon have released updated fundraising totals, now putting the figure at more than $55 million raised to aid those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. More than 130 celebrities showed up to man the phones or ask for help, including Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Nicki Minaj, Kings of Leon, Oprah Winfrey, Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake, among others. Donations are still being accepted by phone, text and online at handinhand2017.
Bob Saget tells People magazine that he and John Stamos did not get along during the first four years of Full House. “The first four years, John and I didn’t get along that well. I was a comic, I was married, and John was a teen idol that had gone on to be a really good actor. We both learned a lot from his acting chops. He had different ladies trampsing. Sorry, traipsing. But they were tramps. So the first four years of the old show we weren’t as close. But then we became like brothers.”
